<\/a> <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Day 4<\/span> Such a great day. We are in a hotel near the centre of Voronezh and still it\u2019s not late. We will rest a bit, then go and see the city. It is a big city with more than 1 million inhabitants, three times bigger than Sumy. You can see its size at first glance because of traffic jams but it\u2019s not a surprise considering the fact that we came here during rush hours. However, roads in Russia are much better than those in Ukraine, but I mention here the roads connecting cities. The roads in Voronezh are bad.<\/span><\/p>\n Here is what happened during the day. We set off at 7a.m. and arrived at the border having sunny weather. It was a complete desert, nobody was there. We were the only customers. On the Ukrainian side it took us 15 minutes to pass, then 500 meters and the Russian border begins. At first a couple of minutes to fill in our immigration cards and after this a ride to customs officers. Checking the passports, searching for dangerous things in our luggage, customs declaration including temporary import of the motorcycle and searching the luggage for undeclared things to impose duty on them. Everything took us 3 hours! Why? Every action of a customs officer is performed very slowly, interrupted by other activities. He closes his cabin, leaves, tells us to wait. He comes back, continues the previous actions, leaves again. Then comes back, looks for errors in the form, gives us a new one, tells us to fill in. I must add that at the moment Andrzej disappeared and wasn\u2019t next to me. I had filled in a sheet of paper for six times before the officer nodded. Pulling out things from the luggage \u00a0which means removing tires, etc., to fasten them all again and after one hundred meters doing it once more. Because they won\u2019t tell you that you will have to do the same things soon. And time goes by.<\/span><\/p>\n I found Andrzej who told me that they took him for an interrogation. Lasting at least half an hour, the interrogation was performed in a room by an officer and with records being written. According to Andrzej\u2019s relation, questions involved accurate information about our journey, including days, and some personal questions. Generally, it was an interesting experience but when I saw him he was pale. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n I had some time at the border, waiting for Andrzej, and decided to move my tires to the sides of the trunks. I hit the bull\u2019s eye. I had to improve it but my comfort of the ride simply went back to normal. I looked comically because I just wanted to try it and fixed the tires without aligning them but now I know that this is the right direction. Holds should endure. Unfortunately they had bent after falling from the motorcycle and trunks are not in line but at least they proved that will endure additional load from the tires.
